As in the regular rules of slopitch, players are responsible for their own actions. Please support your fellow players to ensure they follow all Covid guidelines.Most of these rules and guidelines are common sense. It is everyone’s goal to get back to a normal life so let’s ensure we are part of the solution not part of the cause.General Rules and GuidelinesFor the 2022 season, players must show proof of full vaccination (current health guidelines suggest 2 shots is fully vaccinated).The league will provide hand sanitizer. Players may use it as often as they wish.The wearing of a mask or gloves is not mandatory but is allowed. Players will supply their own mask and gloves if desired.Spectators should not use the bleachers in order to leave that space available for teams to spread out. Fans should watch from the first base side hill (with appropriate distancing).Ensure that your empty water bottles are put in the trash cans after your game so that others don’t have to touch it.Read and comply with any COVID safety guidelines posted on the bulletin board.Field Rules and GuidelinesDo not congregate in the dugout area before and after your game.Players are encouraged to change shoes at their cars rather than at the dugout so that the area is not congested.Do not spit on the field or in the dugout areas.Do not handle any shared equipment unnecessarily.Playing Rules and GuidelinesRather than attempting to sanitize the tape on bat handles, each batter should sanitize their hands before touching a bat. Once they return to the dugout they should sanitize their hands again.Wearing batting helmets is mandatory, however the league will no longer provide shared helmets. Players must supply their own helmets.Pitching masks are mandatory, however the league will no longer provide shared masks. Pitchers must supply their own masks.Umpires may call the game if these safety rules are not followed.
